Peter Handscomb tried to get the Melbourne Stars back on their feet after their slowest powerplay of the season pushed the asking rate to above 10 in their chase of the 163-run target set by the Adelaide Strikers. Handscomb scored an unbeaten 65 off 39 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes that took the Stars to within a touching distance of victory, but his efforts ultimately went in vain.
